Periodic Table
How to use
What it does
Browses all 118 chemical elements in the standard periodic layout, arranged by group and period with colours distinguishing metals, non-metals, noble gases and the rest. Clicking any element reveals its atomic number, atomic weight, electron configuration, common oxidation states and basic physical properties, which makes it a convenient reference while studying chemistry.
How to use it
Hovering a cell pops up a brief summary and clicking expands the full dataset in the detail panel on the right. A filter at the top highlights elements by category, and the search box jumps straight to a match on name, symbol or atomic number. Data in the detail panel can be copied for notes or for filling in a table.
FAQ
When I search, do non-matching elements disappear from the table?
No - they just fade to low opacity so the periodic table layout stays intact while matches stay bright. The search matches symbol or English name, e.g. "Fe" or "iron".
Does the element detail need an internet lookup?
No. All 118 elements - atomic number, symbol, name, mass and category - are built into the page itself, and the popup just reads that data. Press Escape or click outside to close it.
