Shoot 'Em Up
How to play
Gameplay
A collection of classic shooters: Space Invaders, Tanks, Asteroids, Missile Command, Thunder and more. Each mode has its own rules but the same shape — you steer a vehicle while enemies pour in from every direction, and the game is about finding the rhythm between dodging and firing. Greedy damage output is usually what gets you hit.
Controls
Switch modes from the tab bar at the top. Move with the arrow keys or W A S D and fire with space or a mouse click; some modes let the mouse aim as well. Health and score sit in the header, taking a hit costs a life, and running out ends that mode so you can restart or switch.
FAQ
Is this just one shooter game?
No - one widget packs nine retro modes behind the tab bar: Space Invaders, Battle City tanks, Asteroids, Missile Command, Raiden, a two-player tank duel, a Metal Slug-style run-and-gun, Centipede and Bullet Hell.
Do the shooter modes save my high score?
Only Space Invaders does - its high score is stored in the browser's local storage and restored on your next visit. The other eight modes keep scores in memory only, so they reset on reload.
Can two people play on one keyboard?
Yes - the TANKS tab is a local duel: player one moves with WASD and fires with F, player two uses the arrow keys and /. Each tank has 5 HP, and walls block both movement and shots.
